Al Falah Centre

About us:

Al-Falah Islamic Education Centre is a registered UK charity (No. 1132039) that has served the Muslim community in West Drayton and surrounding areas since 2009. Rooted in Islamic values and a deep commitment to community service, Al-Falah has long provided a space for worship, learning, and support for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

In recent years, our organisation has embarked on a bold and ambitious transformation. Recognising the evolving needs of our diverse and growing community, we launched a new strategic vision in 2023 to expand our role from a traditional mosque and education hub into a beacon for community wellbeing, empowerment, and social cohesion.

Our Mission

“To provide a spiritual home that cultivates knowledge, compassion, and unity for the local Islamic community.”

Our work is driven by a holistic approach to Islamic community development — one that nurtures both the spiritual and the social, the individual and the collective. We believe that mosques and Islamic centres must not only offer prayer facilities but serve as sanctuaries for growth, healing, and opportunity.

Our Strategic Aim

“To build a cornerstone for the well-being and development of the local Islamic community, serving as a beacon of faith, education, and community engagement.”

This overarching goal underpins all of our activities and guides our expansion efforts, community partnerships, and new programme development and is underpinned by our six strategic objectives to 2027:

Our Strategic Objectives (2024–2027)

  1. Establish and maintain a secure place for congregational worship
  2. Combat social exclusion through inclusive community activities
  3. Improve educational standards for a deeper understanding of Islam
  4. Provide charitable support for individuals and families facing hardship
  5. Support key Islamic rituals including marriage and burial services
  6. Improve the quality of health and wellbeing in the local community

These objectives reflect a shift from reactive, one-off events to a long-term, structured and responsive community development model – that is inclusive for our whole Muslim population, regardless of gender, age or ethnicity.

Our Transformation Journey

As part of this transformation, in 2024 we successfully raised funds to purchase a permanent new centre for our community — a former church building in the heart of West Drayton High Street. Renovations are currently underway, with a planned opening in December 2025. This new facility will include:

  • A larger prayer hall
  • Multiple teaching and activity spaces
  • A dedicated Sisters’ area
  • A private consulting room for mental health and wellbeing support

This move marks a historic milestone for Al-Falah and the local Muslim community. It enables us to scale existing programmes (like our Sisters Community) and launch new services such as counselling, digital skills access, youth engagement, and more.

We are deeply committed to professionalising our governance, safeguarding, and impact measurement — while retaining the community-led, volunteer-driven ethos that has been the heart of Al-Falah for over a decade.
